A Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (Fapcci) delegation visited Israel to study the farm practices in that country and suggest transfer of technology suited for India. The delegation included representatives of the AP Grape Growers Mutually Aided Society, which is keen on bringing in Israeli grape cultivation technology.
The delegation members had a first-hand experience of the water management techniques deployed in Israel, . “Israeli water management solutions for the production of tomatoes and banana could be used for Indian conditions,” Fapcci said. The delegation also participated in the Agritech 2012 exhibition, which showcased the various technologies developed by Israel in the agriculture sector.
