A fire broke out in the emergency ward of the State-run SSKM Hospital in Kolkata this morning. There, however, were no reports of any casualty as patients were immediately evacuated from the ward.
According to officials of the Fire and Emergency Services department, the fire was brought under control within 30 minutes by three tenders.
The extent of damage and the cause of fire are yet to be ascertained.
