The pilgrimage to the Himalayan shrine of Gangotri was disrupted again today by landslides in Nalupani area in Uttarkashi district, officials said.
The route to Gangotri temple has been repeatedly hit by landslides this month, they said.
The Gangotri national highway remained closed for 12 consecutive days from August 7 because of landslides in Sainj area where a stretch of 80 metres of road was washed away.
After remaining open for a couple of days, it was again closed for six days at Sukhitop and other places, the officials said.
However, the yatra to three other shrines of Badrinath, Kedarnath and Yamunotri is on, the officials added.
