Sangam 2012, the Kochi leg of the international annual alumni meet of IIM-Kozhikode, was held here the other day.
The event was organised worldwide concurrently on the same day, same time in Bangalore, Chennai, Dallas, Dubai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, London, Mumbai, New Delhi (Gurgaon), New Jersey, Singapore and other centres.
Inaugurating the event, Prof Joshy Joseph, chairperson of alumni relations and activity committee of the IIM-K Alumni Association, stressed the role played by the alumni in securing the best placement of students, providing opportunities for students on live projects, and facilitating academia industry relations.
The institute will also support social development projects initiated by the alumni association chapters, he said.
Mr K. Santosh, AGM, Central Bank of India, said the bank will support students' education and have also started recruiting IIM graduates for corporate-level responsibilities.
Mr Bhupesh, Manager PVS Memorial Hospital ltd, chapter head of IIM-K Alumni Association, Cochin Chapter, made a presentation on the activities and vision of the chapter.
Mr Balakrishnan, Chief Technology Officer of Geojit BNP Paribas and educationalist, Mr Krishnaswami, moderated the open house and technical sessions.
