Executive Recruiters Association (ERA), a Mumbai-headquartered industry chamber of recruitment consulting companies, feels that recruitment sector should be accorded industry status, which could boost quality of professionals and other staff hired across all sectors.
ERA, in association with Federation of AP Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI), organised an Entrepreneur Summit here on Friday.
Mr Veerendra P. Mathur, ERA Chairman, said if this sector were to be given industry status, it would help ensure that all graduates were equipped with the last mile reach that was required to help get them jobs.
Mr Vikas Raj, Managing Director, A.P. State Finance Corporation (APSFC), told prospective entrepreneurs that “business for business sakes does not success. Vague ideas do not help and what was vital was focussed attention.”
He said promoters needed to be clear in their ideas and leverage their capabilities at mobilising and managing resources.
Prof Ramachandran from the Indian School of Business said it was vital for prospective entrepreneurs to fashion their own business models and not to outsource this exercise. Entrepreneurs should also have a clear road-map on their business and be quick to adopt to changes.
