The Finance Minister appointed Vijay Kelkar panel has submitted its report on fiscal consolidation. The panel was appointed last month immediately after P. Chidambaram took over.
A senior Finance Ministry official confirmed the submission of report but refused to divulge any details.
The committee is believed to have suggested ways for increasing non-tax revenue and cutting non-Plan expenditure.
