Meet focuses on improving managerial skills

Many students are poor in fundamentals of subjects and are facing trouble to enter into the market after completing studies, observed Mr G. Venkateswara Rao, Chief Operating Officer of KCP Sugar and Industries Corporation Ltd.

Urging students to focus on the basics of each subject, Mr Rao advised them to put in hard work which can help them reach greater heights. He was delivering the keynote address at the student-industry interface organised by the Hindu Business Line Club at the Koneru Lakshmaiah University (KLU), Vaddeswaram in Guntur district. Young business managers of KL University Business School (KLUBS), MBA students and undergraduates participated,

The event focussed on ‘Prosperity and inclusive growth through agro-based industries'.

Mr G. Venkateswara Rao, recipient of several awards on ‘better management' gave tips to students on improving managerial skills.

Agriculture-based industries would improve living standards of farmers in rural areas, said Mr Rao and explained the activities of KCP Sugars.

Economic development

The KLU Business School Director, Mr M. Bhaskar Rao, said agro-based firms will provide jobs for skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled labour in villages and help in socio economic development of the country.

KCP Sugars Ltd General Manager, Mr V.V. Punna Rao, KLU MBA Head of the Department, Mr C. Uday Kumar and others also participated.
