Petroleum dealers have deferred their one-day strike which was scheduled from April 22 midnight.
Mr K.V. Shenoy, President of the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Petroleum Dealers’ Association, said representatives of the Federation of All-India Petroleum Traders had a meeting with the Union Petroleum Minister, Mr Jaipal Reddy, in Delhi. Senior officials from the Ministry and representatives from the oil companies attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed various issues affecting petroleum dealers in the country. Mr Reddy is looking into most of these demands. In view of this, the Federation has decided to defer its strike, he said.
