Municipal corporation authorities have sealed a private run hosiery market here for not paying the Rs 14.71 lakh fee arrears to the corporation.
Persons running the market failed to remit the licence and other fees to the corporation for the past four years, corporation authorities said today.
Despite repeated reminders and show-cause notice, no payment was made to the corporation and hence the market was sealed.
Police pickets were posted round the market to prevent any untoward incident.
