Rana Kapoor, Founder, Managing Director & CEO of Yes Bank, on Saturday took over as the new President of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham).
Rana, who holds an MBA degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey, US (1980), and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Delhi (1977), took over from Rajkumar Dhoot, Managing Director of Videocon Group.
In a statement, Kapoor said he would promote a five-point agenda for securing sustainable growth for India during his presidentship of the chamber in 2013-14, which includes economic security, livelihood security, energy security, ecological security and national security.
Sunil Kanoria and Sandeep Jajodia are Assocham Senior Vice-President and Vice-President for 2013-14.
