A seminar on interior designing as a career was held at the Designer Institute of Interior Design (DiiD) here. Speaking on the occasion, Dr P.R.Venkitaraman, a general career consultant, emphasised the need to pursue a career and profession based on passion and to work hard to be successful.
He discussed the issues concerning following a career based on monetary considerations only. He said one of the major causes of poor job satisfaction and unhappiness is a wrong career chosen based on considerations other than passion for it.
Mr Dixon, a professional coach in interior designing, introduced to the participants the relevance of interior designing in today's world and the growing importance of the discipline.
He narrated how the concepts of interior designing, once thought as luxury of the royal and the rich, has now entered every man's life, including the poor and the great scope and potential interior designing has now. Ms Veena, Faculty of DiiD proposed vote of thanks.
