Abbott has launched ‘Healthy Mother Healthy Baby' initiative, an educational programme on good nutrition for mothers, in partnership with doctors and nutritionists across 150 towns. The initiative comes as part of National Nutrition Week, celebrated between September 1 and 7.
The initiative aims at creating awareness among mothers-to-be and recent mothers of the critical importance of nutrition in diet, said to Dr Cittaranjan Yajnik, Director, KEM Diabetes Unit, Pune. Organised by Abbott under the banner of Mama's Best supplement, the programme will see experts provide personalised, pre-natal counselling with emphasis on the importance of pregnancy nutrition, exercise, and diet, added the press release. —
