India is looking at Chinese expertise in handling foodgrain storage and distribution, said the Food Minister, Mr K.V. Thomas.
He was speaking to reporters after meeting a six-member Chinese delegation, currently visiting India to study grain storage.
Mr Thomas said India could adopt Chinese technology for temperature control in godowns and improve the handling of food stocks. “The discussions will take place for two days, after which, we will decide on the kind and level of co-operation,” he said.
The Chinese delegation felt that because of the similarities in foodgrain distribution of both countries, co-operation can be strengthened in related areas.
