Laurels for tea estate

Lockhart Estate of Harrisons Malayalam Ltd has received certifications from Trustea, Rainforest Alliance and UTZ. It had recently gone through a rigorous verification process by an independent third party. The estate located near Munnar has 687 hectares of tea garden, producing about 2 million kg of orthodox tea annually under the Lockhart and Lockhart Gold brands. According to N Dharmaraj, Director and Chief Executive, Lockhart is the second estate to get such certifications after Wentworth estate in Nilgiris district.
