Given the rapid growth in production in newer entrants in global tea map, even as traditional tea producing countries are posting higher output, an international programme on Advanced Tea Plantation Management has predicted record production in 2013 and 2014. The programme, sponsored by the Union Ministry of External Affairs, was conducted by Kothari Agricultural Management Centre here. It was attended by planters, officers of the Tea Board and Tea Research institutes, market analysts, academicians and opinion makers of various tea producing countries in Asia and Africa.
