The E-GoM has decided to lift the ban on export of onions. The ban came into effect from September 9 this year. The reversal of the decision follows protests from farmers.

The E-GoM has also extended the stock limit for sugar for two months till 30 November this year.

Besides. the stock limit on edible oil. oil seeds and pulses has been extended for another year till the end of 30, September 2012.

The meeting also fixed the Minimum Export Price of onions at $ 475 a tonne.
