The Cotton Association of India has estimated cotton crop output of 351 lakh bales for this crop season. In January, the Association has forecast production of 353 lakh bales. CAI has estimated a total cotton supply at 419.21 lakh bales while the domestic consumption is estimated at 275 lakh bales, leaving an available surplus of 144.21 lakh bales. The arrivals as on March-end were placed at 294.25 lakh bales. The average daily arrivals continue to be at over 100,000 bales, it said.
