Edible oils ruled weak tracking bearish futures, recovery in rupee amid slack demand. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, palmolein declined by ₹2 per 10 kg. Soya and cotton oil gained ₹3 and ₹5. Other edible oils were steady. During the day, hardly 200 tonnes of palmolein were traded at ₹682-686 and 50 tonnes of soyabean refined oil at ₹754-755.
At Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin jumped to ₹1,480 (1,450) and loose (10 kg) increased to ₹925 (905). BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 950 (950), soya ref. 758 (755), sunflower exp. ref. 765 (765), rapeseed ref. 860 (860), cottonseed ref. 785 (780) and palmolein 685 (687).
