The eighth edition of the Kerala Bamboo Festival will be held in Kochi from December 8-11
The annual event is being organised by the Kerala State Bamboo Mission of the Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion (K-BIP) under the Department of Commerce and Industry.
The event is envisaged to help artisans as well as entrepreneurs in the bamboo sector acquire knowledge about the latest products and design developments as also provide a platform to them for sharing information. A wide variety of innovative products made from bamboo are expected to be showcased at the festival, according to officials.
The festival is also intended to launch entrepreneurship drive among the artisans. The participants will include artisans, entrepreneurs, sector-related institutions, support firms and service providers from all over the country.
This year's event is expected to attract a large number of participants and hence a bigger venue has been chosen to hold the show, say the officials.
