Monsanto, a farm input company, has elevated Shilpa Divekar Nirula as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of its Indian subsidiary. She will also take charge as CEO of its business across Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
She will take charge from Gyanendra Shukla for both these roles from September 1.
Nirula has over 18 years of experience across Consulting and Food and Agriculture sectors. During her seven years at Monsanto, she has successfully led several teams in Business, Strategy and Corporate Affairs.
Shukla will lead Monsanto’s efforts to transform agriculture in Africa. An agriculture sector veteran with 25 years experience, Shukla has leadership experience across Commercial, Technology Development, Regulatory, Sales & Customer Service in India and Asia-Pacific.
