Soyameal exports rose 13 per cent to 4.61 lakh tonnes in March 2012 against 4.09 lakh tonnes in the same month last year.
However, exports declined 7 per cent during the first six months of 2011-12 oil year (October-September) to 27.85 lakh tonnes from 29.97 lakh tonnes in the corresponding period of previous oil year, according to data compiled by the Indore-based Soyabean Processors Association of India.
Vietnam, Thailand, Japan and Indonesia are the major importers of Indian soyameal.
