Sugar market ruled flat on Monday on routine demand, supply and volume. Prices remained steady. Continuous rains in the city and in producing areas kept business limited. Freight rates were steady. At the Vashi market, local dispatches were slightly higher, but inventories hovered near 105-110 truck loads kept traders away from surplus buying. Arrivals were at 54-55 truck loads and local dispatches were at 57-58 loads. The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates: S-grade ₹3,220-3,282 and M-grade ₹3,292-3,520. Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹3,180-3,260 and M-grade ₹3,230-3,370.
