Truckers’ strike hits edible oils bl-premium-article-image

Activity in the edible oils market was affected on the back of the nationwide truckers’ strike and a bandh called in Maharashtra. On the BCE, palmolein declined by ₹2 per 10 kg, tracking bearish futures. Other edible oils were unchanged. Local refineries kept their rates steady. At Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin was flat at ₹1,350 and loose (10 kg) at ₹850. BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 870 (870), soya ref. 750 (750), sunflower ref. 790 (790), rapeseed exp. ref. 870 (870), cottonseed ref. 795 (795) and palmolein 676 (678).
