Over 58.22 lakh tonnes of wheat has so far arrived in the mandis of Haryana during the current procurement season.
A spokesman of the Food and Supplies Department said here today out that of the total arrival, 58.13 lakh tonnes of wheat has been procured by Government agencies at the minimum support price and 8,645 tonnes of wheat has been purchased by the private millers and traders.
He said HAFED had procured over 22.54 lakh tonnes of wheat, Food and Supplies (over 14.43 lakh tonnes), Food Corporation of India (over 7.22 lakh tonnes), Haryana Agro Industries Corporation (over 5.65 lakh tonnes), Haryana Warehousing Corporation (over 5.24 lakh tonnes) and CONFED had purchased 3.03 lakh tonnes of wheat.
