The Finance Ministry has imposed definitive anti-dumping duty on Polytetrafluoroethylene or PTFE imports from Russia.
Based on the recommendations of the Designated Authority in Commerce Ministry in its third sunset review, the revenue department has imposed anti-dumping duty of $739.77 per tonne on PTFE imports from Russia.
This anti-dumping duty will be valid for five years.
Gujarat Flourochemicals Ltd had filed the petition seeking third sunset review on PTFE imports from Russia.
PTFE is primarily used in electrical, electronic, mechanical and chemical industries for its unique characteristics like chemical inertness, electrical and thermal insulation and outstanding electrical properties over a wide frequency range.
