BEML Ltd has won the export excellence award for 2012-13 from the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Bangalore, for its performance in exports in the ‘Best Exporter’ special category. K. Narayan Bhat, General Manager (Exports), BEML, received the award at a function held in Bangalore from K. H. Muniyappa, Union Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME).
BCIC 36th AGM on June 28
The Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) will hold its 36th Annual General Meeting at 6 p.m. on June 28 at the Grand Ball Room, The LaLit Ashok, Bangalore. According to a BCIC release, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will deliver the keynote address. R. V. Deshpande, Karnataka Minister for Higher Education and Tourism; N. R. Narayana Murthy, Executive Chairman, Infosys; and Sajjan Jindal, Chairman and Managing Director, JSW Steel Ltd, will preside .
FKCCI annual meet today
The 96th Annual General Meeting of the Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) will be held at 10 a.m. on June 27 at the Hotel Lalit Ashok, Bangalore. Siddaramaiah, Karnataka Chief Minister, will be the Chief Guest. The inaugural session will be followed by a technical session on ‘Agenda – Beginning of a New Era for Karnataka.’ The speakers for the Technical session are M. N. Vidyashankar, Principal Secretary, Commerce & Industries Department; M. Maheshwar Rao, Commissioner for Industrial Development & Director of Industries & Commerce; and Dr. Narendra Pani, Professor, School of Social Sciences, National Institute of Advanced Studies.
