Engineering goods exporters have said that the Railway Budget provisions for 2015-16 will improve the ease of doing business and improve the connectivity of the manufacturing units with ports and air connectivity.
“The export sector would certainly benefit, especially those engaged in heavy duty items like steel, iron ore and machinery,” the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) said in an official release.
“It (provisions in the Railway Budget) would certainly, in the long run, remove bottlenecks in key infrastructure which will reduce cost of manufacturing in India,” an official release from the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) said.
