The announcement of a suburban railway system to the technology hub of Bengaluru comes as a great relief as the city is choking with traffic perils.
Reacting to the Rail Budget, Anuj Sharma, President-Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC), said: “The suburban railway system to Bengaluru is welcome as the city is burdened with heavy with traffic. We urge the State Government to put this on a fast-track mode with the Ministry of Railways so that the project can be implemented as early as possible.”
“The early implementation will address the immediate concerns of congestion within the city and facilitate Bengaluru retaining its preferred position as a business hub that it has been known for,” he added.
