The special court for Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has on Friday rejected bail pleas of ex-Karnataka Minister, Mr Gali Janardhana Reddy and the Managing Director of Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC), Mr Srinivasa Reddy, in an illegal mining case. The court also dismissed a petition by CBI seeking custody of the accused for nine more days. The arguments in the bail petitions and the CBI petition seeking nine-day custody of both the accused in the illegal mining case were completed on Thursday. Mr Janardhana Reddy and Mr Srinivasa Reddy were arrested by CBI on September 5, and are under judicial remand in the Chenchalguda jail here. The CBI had got custody for six days.
