The Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday raided the residence of Ms Suneeta Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals, in connection with the Aircel-Maxis deal.
Ms Reddy has, however, not been named in the FIR, which figures Mr Dayanidhi Maran, who was the Telecom Minister during the Aircel deal. The CBI has asked for clarification from Ms Reddy on her role and involvement in Aircel.
Ms Suneeta Reddy holds 26 per cent stake in Aircel through Sindya Securities and Investments, while the rest is held by Maxis. The raids began at 6.30 am and lasted for over five hours.
