Infosys co-founder and Chairman Emeritus N. R. Narayana Murthy on Friday said the macro economic situation has been extremely volatile in recent times.

While delivering the inaugural lecture of the Globsyn Annual Lecture Series here, Narayana Murthy said: “Never before has the macro economy been so volatile.” So, the challenges for corporates are far more daunting, he added.

Therefore, companies need to bring innovative ideas and imagination to the table to survive, he said.  According to him, “speed in imagination and excellence in implementing the imagination” would be important for any company to grow.

Narayana Murthy pointed out that private companies should also have the ability to “build the foundation of a secure future”.
