The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has prepared a report on the concept of non-migratory jobs and plans to make it public soon, according to Mr Jay Galla, Chairman, CII Andhra Pradesh, and Managing Director, Amara Raja Batteries Ltd.
He said CII Andhra Pradesh is working on the theme ‘AP@2022: 35 Million Employment,' with the objective to ensure creation of new jobs.
“The concept of non-migratory jobs encourages rural employment and employability, development of new growth centres and industrial clusters. It also helps encourage optimal utilisation of land and promoting agriculture and mineral-based industries,” he said.
Speaking at a CII event in Tirupathi, he said, “Employment and employability are two critical aspects of inclusive economic growth, which can better be achieved by creating employment opportunities for everyone in the society. The employment opportunities can be created with accelerated phase of industrial development as well as enhancing the skills of the people.”
