The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (Codissia) has sought an end to the truckers' strike, which has caused a production loss of Rs 250 crore a day in and around Coimbatore.
In a statement, Mr M. Kandhaswami, President, Codissia, said the micro and small industries were neither getting the raw materials or were able to despatch finished products and exporters were unable to move the containers to ports. He put the production loss at Rs 250 crore a day in the region.
