The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 9.39 per cent in October from a year ago, slower than September's annual rise of 10.06 per cent. Government data released on Wednesday showed that the CPI for Industrial Workers rose one point from the previous month to 198 in October. The Food Index was up 8.72 per cent in October, higher than September's 8.29 per cent. The Wholesale Price Index-based inflation had registered a 9.73 per cent rise in October.
