The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (Credai) has decided to work towards the theme Homes For All by 2022.
The meeting of the apex body representing private real estate developers in the country that was held during August 6-8 laid special thrust on the mission of pucca housing for all by 2022.
C. Shekar Reddy, National President, Credai, in a statement said, “With the Narendra Modi Government taking steps to introduce reforms and recent steps by the RBI to relax norms, the housing sector is expected to grow.”
“Bringing affordable housing project finance and home loans up to ₹50 lakh under priority sector lending (PSL) will give a major boost to the small and medium developers which cater to the affordable housing segment. Moreover, the government has incorporated Credai’s recommendation and relaxed the FDI norms for investment in the real estate which will act as a catalyst for growth,” he said.
The Credai meet Natcon deliberated on the theme Homes For All. It stated the Government’s ambitious plan to provide housing for all by 2022 and developing 100 smart cities opens a plethora of opportunities for the real estate sector.
By taking up the theme ‘Homes For All’ during the convention, Credai has ensured that the delegations and participating member developers from across the country discuss the possibilities and work towards the objective.
