Domestic crude oil and natural gas production fell 3.34 per cent and 6.88 per cent, respectively last month, according to data released by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
Domestic crude oil production stood at 3.078 million tonnes in May 2016 compared with 3.184 mt in the same month last year. Natural gas production stood at 2.656 billion cubic meter during May against 2.852 billion cubic meter in the same month last year.
Further, refinery throughput during the month grew 1.24 per cent to 19.950 mt compared with 19.705 mt in the same month last year.
