Auto fuel prices touched fresh highs on Tuesday. The price of diesel inched up further from Monday and hit an all-time high of ₹69.61 a litre in New Delhi.
On Monday, the diesel price stood at ₹69.46 a litre.
The price of petrol in the national capital was ₹78.05 on Tuesday. Petrol had sold at an all-time high of ₹78.43 a litre on May 29.
Auto fuel prices have been on a steady upward trend since early July this year. The price of petrol fell from earlier highs to ₹75.55 a litre during the first four days of July and has been on a rise since then. The price of diesel too stood at ₹67.38 a litre during the first four days of July before commencing the upward trend.
