The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Mr Omar Abdullah, today said anti-corruption crusader Mr Anna Hazare should not dictate terms to Parliament admitting that the Centre had allowed itself to be dictated.
“Someone needs to remind Anna and his team that they don’t get to dictate to Parliament. Only the people of India get to do that, every five years,” Mr Abdullah wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.com.
His comments came in the backdrop of another round of confrontation between Team Anna and the Centre over the Lokpal Bill.
The Chief Minister agreed with one of his followers on the social networking site who said, “but, but, but. The government did allow itself to be dictated to by them. Alas.”
“I was just gonna say that but thanks for saying it for me,” Omar responded.
