The Finance Ministry has imposed definitive anti-dumping duty on flat products of stainless steel imported from South Korea, EU and the United States of America.
An anti-dumping duty of $1,491 per tonne will be levied on all imports of flat products of stainless steel (having width below 600 mm) originating in or exported from these countries and imported into India, the Revenue Department has said.
The definitive anti-dumping duty will be valid for five years.
The Revenue Department move follows the recommendations of the designated authority in the Commerce Ministry in its final findings issued in November last year.
