As it sees increased returns from the markets, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) will increase its exposure to exchange traded funds (ETF) this financial year to ₹20,000 crore.
Minister of State for Labour Bandaru Dattatreya said the fund would now raise the exposure to ETFs to 15 per cent of the investible funds from the present 10 per cent.
“The PF funds invested in ETFs have earned returns of 13.72 per cent so far,” he said.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, he said the organisation had invested ₹22,858 crore in the last two years. The exposure to ETFs had been increased to 10 per cent last year from 5 per cent in the previous year.
“We have earned a sum of ₹235 crore in the last two years. This is very encouraging,” he said.
