A fire broke out at Rain CII Carbon LLC’s plant at Gramercy, USA, on Thursday.
“A fire occurred in the calcined coke storage dome on June 7, 2012. The flames have been extinguished and local fire officials are continuing to pour water on the smouldering areas and there are no injuries,’’ Rain Commodities Ltd informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Friday.
The management was monitoring the situation and necessary precautions were being taken to protect the calciner facilities, terminals, employees and the surrounding communities, it added.
