The proposed foundry park that is likely to come up on the Ranihati-Amta Road, Howrah, will facilitate the modernisation and expansion programme of foundries located in Howrah and other parts of West Bengal through cluster approach, according to Mr Pawan Sureka, Chairman, Indian Foundry Association.

Speaking at the 60th annual general meeting of the Indian Foundry Association here on Friday, Mr Sureka said that the park would enable foundries to capitalise on the increased demand in both the domestic and international market. The park will also have provision and infrastructure for technology transfer, R&D and marketing set-up, he pointed out.
