The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting recently used crowdsourcing to come up with advertisement designs for the 68th Independence Day. The idea behind this exercise was to encourage public participation.
The Directorate of Audio Visual Publicity received as many as 1,000 entries from enthusiasts. The entries were judged by an independent selection committee of field experts, artists and academicians. Top three winners bagged an award of Rs 15,000, while seven other designs bagged consolation prices of Rs 3,000 and letter of appreciation from the I & B Ministry.
The top three entries will be published in various newspapers across the country, the Ministry said in a statement.
