Indian Ceramics 2016, an exhibition for the ceramic materials, machinery and supplies Industry, will be held during March 2-4 in Gujarat University Exhibition Centre, Ahmedabad, seeking to boost the prospects of the ceramic industry.
The event is expected to bring together about 250 exhibitors and 6000 visitors from India and other parts of the world.
Igor Palka, CEO of MMI India, in a statement said “Indian Ceramics 2016 is an attractive platform to showcase products. We have endeavoured to bring the event to different parts of the country where we feel the industry would require a fillip. The event will bring industry practitioners and experts under one roof.”
A meeting of the organisers was hosted here to showcase the potential of the ceramics industry and leverage it as a platform for all stakeholders of the industry to exchange ideas and work towards growth of the industry.
With Telangana State serving as a base to a number of ceramic pipe manufacturers and about 36 units needing more support from the Government, the ceramic industry players feel if the Government supports the sector, this would boost their business prospects and demand.
The Indian ceramic industry enjoys the unique distinction of being highly indigenous with an abundance of raw materials, technical skills, infrastructural facilities despite being fairly capital intensive.
