This will train 9,000 students from class 11 and 12 across the 10 GMS Junior Colleges in Hyderabad. IndiaSkills will start by providing courses in retail, hospitality, hair care and beauty, and computer-based accounting, and will soon expand the portfolio.
All IndiaSkills courses are designed to provide a combination of both classroom learning and practical skills to make them job-ready, said Mr Arun Sriram, General Manager — Product and Marketing of the company.
Across the contry, IndiaSkills has more than 15,000 arrangements with over 20 leading companies — like Reliance, Shoppers Stop, Madura Garments, Café Coffee Day, etc — to provide jobs to their students, he told newspersons on Friday.
Mr Venkata Narayana, Chairman of Gowtham Model Schools, said, “The partnership will not only help our college students secure jobs but also the students of other colleges by giving them job-guaranteed courses.”
