The Special Court for CBI has posted the bail petitions of former Karnataka Tourism Minister and managing director of Obulapuram Mining Corporation, Mr.Gali Janardhana Reddy and his brother-in-law, Mr. B.V.Srinivas Reddy, for Monday, September 12.
The matter relates to bail petition filed by the duo in the case initiated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and also the latter’s petition seeking the custody of the two, for their alleged illegal mining resulting in loss of crores of rupees to the Government.
The apex investigating agency is opposing the bail petition on the ground that these two high profile businessmen could tamper evidence in the illegal mining case. The CBI is in fact seeking custody to continue its investigations.
