Japanese team to explore avenues for building smart infrastructure in AP

A number of Japanese companies and agencies such a NEDO, and METI, have converged here for an interactive meeting to explore opportunities for mutual cooperation.

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Government of Japan, the Andhra Pradesh Government, New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), and The Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEE), in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising a day-long seminar on 'Expanding Technology Cooperation for Smart Community in Andhra Pradesh''.

The objective of the seminar is to explore cooperation in the areas of building smart infrastructure, various perspectives on smart community and possible business collaboration between Japanese and Indian companies.

A 100-member Government-Industry delegation from Japan is part of this event. Some of the prominent organisations and companies participating in the event include Fuji Electric Corporation, Hitachi, Japan Research Institute, JETRO, JICA, Marubeni, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Sumitomo Corporation, The Bank of Tokyo, Toshiba and Toyota.

N Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Ken Sasaji, Executive Director, METI, Akio Isomata, Minister, Embassy of Japan in India, Hiroshi Kuniyoshi, Executive Director, NEDO, besides others will share their perspectives.
