Chennai, July 6 The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Ms J. Jayalalithaa, today left for Delhi to take part in the finalisation of annual Plan by the Planning Commission.
According to official sources, Ms Jayalalithaa was accompanied by her close aide Ms Sasikala, the Finance Minister, Mr O. Panneerselvam, and high ranking officials.
This is her second visit to the national capital since she came to power.
During her June 14 meeting with the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, Ms Jayalalithaa had placed a demand for a special assistance of Rs one lakh crore even as she had been charging the previous DMK regime with pushing the state into a ‘debt-trap’.
