A designated court for Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday extended the judicial custody of ex-Karnataka minister Mr Gali Janardhana Reddy and the Managing Director of Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC), Mr B.V. Srinivasa Reddy, till October 3, 2011, in an illegal mining case.
Both the accused were produced before the special court by the CBI after custodial interaction for six days.
The CBI also sought custody of Mr Janardhana Reddy and Mr Srinivasa Reddy for nine more days a decision on which is likely on Tuesday.
The accused were later shifted to Chenchalguda central prison here.
Mr Janardhana Reddy and Mr Srinivasa Reddy were arrested by the CBI on September 5, 2011, in Bellary, Karnataka.
