External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid is travelling to Canada from September 21-23.
The visit is for the first strategic dialogue between India and Canada scheduled to be held in Toronto on September 22.
A spokesman of Ministry of External Affairs said that Khurshid will also visit Ottawa and meet with the Canadian Ministers for Economy, Trade, Immigration and Natural Resources.
The spokesman added that Special Envoy of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Ashwani Kumar met with Japanese Prime Minister Abe in Tokyo today. Kumar also invited Abe to visit India.
Kumar is in Japan to prepare for the visit of Japanese Emperor and Empresses which is expected towards November-end. This will be the first visit to India by a Japanese Emperor.
